When a visitor pastes a link to a document — a PDF spec, a Word contract, an Excel price list — your agent can now open it, read the contents, and answer questions about it in the same conversation.
What's New
- Documents in chat - Visitors share a document link and ask about it; the agent reads the file and answers from what's inside
- Broad format support - PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, and RTF files, including scanned PDFs
- Optional controls - Restrict document links to trusted domains and cap how many pages of a scanned PDF are processed
Get Started
- Open your agent's Actions tab
- Click Add Action and select Read document links
- Save the action and try it in the Playground by pasting a document link
