Uploading Documents
- Go to your agent's Sources tab
- Click Files
- Drag and drop files, or click to browse
- Wait for processing to complete
Wait for processing to complete and investigate failures before relying on a file for answers.
Storage Limits
| Plan | Storage Per Agent |
|---|---|
| Free | 400KB |
| Hobby | 40MB |
| Standard | 40MB |
| Pro | 40MB |
Storage is based on processed content, not original file size. A 10MB PDF might use only 500KB of storage after text extraction.
Best Practices
Use Clear, Text-Based Documents
- Text-based PDFs are a useful starting point
- Scanned PDFs use a fallback extraction path when local conversion cannot handle them; check the result
- Verify dates, units, exceptions and table relationships against the original
Organize Content Logically
- Upload separate documents for distinct topics
- Large documents are automatically chunked for retrieval
- Titles help identify sources in chat logs
Keep Documents Updated
- Delete outdated documents
- Re-upload when content changes
- Check "Last processed" dates periodically
Managing Documents
From the Files tab you can:
- View all documents with file names and sizes
- Download original files
- Delete documents you no longer need
- See processing status for each file
Troubleshooting
"File too large"
- Check your plan's storage limit
- Consider splitting large documents
- Remove unnecessary sections before uploading
"Processing failed"
- Verify the file isn't corrupted
- Check it's a supported format
- Try re-uploading the file
"Content not appearing in answers"
- Test specific questions in the Playground
- Ensure the document content is relevant to the query
- Check that processing completed successfully
Next Steps
- Test in the Playground to verify document content
- Add website sources for web content
- Create Q&A pairs for exact answers
