Slack messages
Send a message to your support channel when a conversation needs your team.
Connect Slack in Actions > Integrations, then click Add action on the Slack card. You can also choose Slack from the action picker.
Configure the action
- Give the action a unique name.
- Describe when the agent should send a message. For example, ask it to notify your team when a visitor requests a sales follow-up.
- Save the action, then enable it. A connected Slack channel and a paid plan are required.
The message goes to the channel selected when you connected Slack. It includes a link to the conversation in Agentkit. Channel members need Agentkit access to open that link.
Automatic lead and escalation notifications have separate switches. Turning those off does not disable an enabled Slack action. Disable the action itself to stop agent-triggered messages.
Delivery and testing
The agent reports a successful delivery only after Slack accepts the message. A timeout or failed request produces a failure result. Preview chat simulates the action and sends no Slack message. Test actual delivery through your installed widget using a test conversation.
This action sends a notification. It does not create a help desk ticket or open a live chat session. Messages use the connected channel; visitors cannot choose a webhook or channel.
